Reliability analysis on hardware and software elements for smoke control and pressurization ventilation system of high-rise buildings

For analysing the reliability of hardware and software elements, simplifies the four smoke control modes in Tables 8.3.2-1 to 4 of the Code for fire protection design of tall buildings. For hardware reliability analyses, develops a reliability calculation mathematic model on smoke control and pressurization ventilation system according to the technical conditions of smoke control system regulated by the Code, statistics theory and reliability principle. Compares the reliability of different mathematic models based on simplification and reasoning. As important factors of fatal failure in smoke control system, software elements involve some essential problems, including the calculation method of air rate for pressurization ventilation, the optimal position of the air outlet, the form of air outlet and opening mode, and especially the guarantee system of pressurization ventilation system put forward by the author from actual project investigation. Analyses respectively the failure mechanism of software elements and their influence on system reliability. The analysis result provides theoretic references for the optimization of pressurization ventilation system, code revision, and smoke control system design and research of high-rise buildings.
